SNIPER is a founder of the group. He started writing music in 1986. In 1995 teamed up with his college buddy Reggie who was writing pretty good poems. They started throwing dance parties in NY playing mostly European hits of that time. In a year after that they decided to write just a couple of songs together. After writing their first songs they felt that they would need more than just a few songs. They wanted to create a group and they did. Later on they came up with the name SOULARIS (mixture of two words: SOUL and SOLARIS). In 1997 they recorded first album entitled AVALON with Nora Doncheva as female vocalist and got great reviews. In 1999 it was decided that Soularis should perform on main stage in Miami during Winter Music Conference where they were nominated as best newcomers dance group.

Over the last few years the band members have changed. The new team consists of SNIPER, JAZZ, JULIA and GULLIVER. Before meeting with JAZZ, GULLIVER and JULIA SNIPER was looking to expand and collaborate with new people in order to bring a fresh vibe to the style of music he was working in. At one of the recording sessions he heard an incredibly versatile vocal of JULIA. He was astonished with the way JULIA worked in the studio along with a very talented engineer, keyboard player and producer who called himself JAZZ. SNIPER approached them and right there and then they decided to collaborate on a few tracks. The first few songs came out to be hits. As a result of the collaboration, they felt that they really had a positive chemistry and decided to make the whole album together. Now let’s get to know new members of a group a little bit closer.

JULIA - the voice of the group - started singing since she was in elementary school. Since the age of 15 she has appeared on numerous music programs and television shows throughout Europe. She was performing on Eurovision contest that had been broadcasted live to 850 Million people across Europe. Her profile and past experience goes on and on and on, but her voice speaks for itself.

JAZZ has been into rock & funk since the 1980`s. Most of his youth he has spent in Europe playing with various bands. JAZZ is a keyboard player and recording engineer who has a serious portfolio working with great musicians throughout his career.

After almost a year working together with JAZZ and JULIA, SNIPER accidentally met GULLIVER and after hearing some of his material SNIPER offered him to write several songs together. After they recorded three songs, SNIPER offered GULLIVER to be a part of SOULARIS. The songs came out to be very UK-Underground-like sounding yet they were songs and not just tracks with its own personality, catchy melodies and great arrangement.

GULLIVER started his musical career as a guitar player. In his 20's GULLIVER mastered the art of sound engineering and music production while working in recording studios as an engineer and producer. Throughout the years of working in studios GULLIVER had the chance to work with top industry artists like: Mary J. Blige, Angie Stone, Will Downing and more.

Last but not least “silent” crew member who is currently a manager of the group Alex “Universe”. He has been driven by music since junior high school cutting classes and spending all his teen days promoting largest teen bashes in town. Since the age of 15 he has gotten his school education in various party events and venues. Alex “Universe” has promoted hottest nightclubs and raves since 1995 and is well respected in the New York’s nightlife scene. Since 1997 he has been seriously involved with most respectful national and international DJs. He always wanted to play piano and make his own group but was too busy with his schedule. Nevertheless his passion for music kept him going and after a few years he learned a lot in a business aspect of the show business. When he met SNIPER back in 1998 they decided to concentrate on a new material that would be suitable for the wide audience. Right then Alex became a manager of the group.

SNIPER’S catchy melodies and knowledge of the music production, amazing vocals of JULIA who can sing in every style needed for the project, JAZZ’S and GULLIVER’S great attitude, professionalism and knowledge of the technical aspect of the project as well as musical part of it led to an incredibly versatile new album that is coming out soon.
